EEXI/CII regulations and Shaft Power Limitations (SHaPoLi)

New EEXI and CII regulations will come into force from the 1st of January 2023.

The new regulations aim to reduce the carbon intensity of international shipping to meet greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets.

Shaft Power Limitation is one of the suggested methods on how CO2 emissions can be lowered according to the IMO regulations.

Kyma Shaft Power Meter (KPM) will help you monitor the engine power and set the power limitations by an output signal. Using this signal from the Kyma Shaft Power Meter and reducing engine power, the vessel will lower CO2 emissions according to set requirements of the new regulation.

With our Ship Performance systems, Kyma Delfini and Kyma Ship Performance systems, you can monitor, investigate, and optimize your fleet’s performance by visualizing data and providing you with several KPI’s for fuel, speed, and power.

KPM is type approved by CCS.
