DM100 L-VDR G2

Light Voyage Data Recorder

Introducing the DM100 L-VDR G2 - a game-changer in the maritime industry.

Danelec's newest generation of light VDRs offers the recording capabilities of a type-approved full VDR system without the need for a fixed/float-free capsule. This compact and lightweight solution is ideal for vessels not required to implement a full VDR by regulations, but seeking responsible documentation of voyage data and improved ship management. The DM100 L-VDR G2 is a non-mandatory system with added benefits for remote ship-to-shore management. Experience the future of voyage documentation with Danelec's DM100 L-VDR G2.

Application Areas

  • Record, replay and analyze data on shore and onboard
  • On demand remote remote access from shore

Key Features

VDR Remote Services

Access and manage your VDR data from anywhere, elevating safety and empowering proactive decision-making. Transform your maritime challenges into opportunities with minimized downtime and optimized resource allocation.

  • Instant Remote Data Access: Securely access and download VDR recordings from designated time periods
  • Effective Service Preparation, Alarm Analysis & Pre-APT: Identify errors and obtain additional service-related information to ensure a first-time fix of + 90%
  • Comprehensive Monitoring: Monitor not just your VDR, but all equipment and sensors connected
  • One Touch Secure Remote Configuration: Rectify errors and perform configuration remotely avoiding unplanned service call
SoftWare Advanced Protection (SWAP)

Servicing and repairing shipboard electronics can be time consuming and expensive. There are the complicated logistics of scheduling a service call and finding a properly trained technician – sometimes from a remote port. Then there is the question of whether the technicians have the correct spare parts on hand and can complete the repairs in time to meet the ship’s sailing schedule.

Now there is a way to save time and money, while eliminating in-port delays, thanks to the new SWAP solution from Danelec. With SWAP technologyTM, all system software and configuration, as well as programming data, is automatically saved on a hot-swappable memory card that can easily be removed from the old unit and inserted into the new one. Relocating the repair from ship to shore saves hours of time in re-installing software and re-programming the unit.

  • Saves time by enabling onboard repairs to be accomplished in a matter of hours, not days
  • Saves money by reducing man hours for service calls
  • Protects valuable shipboard data on a hot-swappable memory card
  • Keeps ships on schedule, eliminating in-port delays for repairs
Playback Software

VDR Explorer playback software runs on any PC and can provide real-time monitoring and replay of recorded data. It can be presented in a wide variety of both graphical and numerical ways, and is extremely easy and user-friendly to customize and operate. VDR Explorer can be synced with the Danelec IP Video Interface (IPVI) to review time-stamped CCTV footage alongside recorded VDR data.

Seamless and Synchronized VDR Data and IP Video Recordings

The new VDR IP Video Interface designed to provide an extra layer of data for accident investigations and training applications

Danelec has developed a unique, plug and play solution for the integration of on-board High-Definition IP Video with data collected and stored by its DM100 VDR. Called VDR IP Video Interface (IPVI), Danelec’s innovative new solution augments situational awareness for accident investigators and unlocks deeper operational insight for ship owners and operator management teams, as well as training organisations and instructors.
