Traveling To Victoria
By Air:Victoria International Airport serves Victoria and the surrounding Vancouver Island communities. Located just 18 km north of Victoria, Victoria International provides excellent ground access to the Pat Bay Highway and is within 10 minutes of the BC Ferry terminal at Swartz Bay. By Sea:BC Ferries operate most routes on a first come basis. Optional reservations are offered from the Mainland to Vancouver Island but they levy a non-refundable $17.50 charge above the regular tariff for this convenience. Reservations are highly recommended during holidays and summer travel. Victoria Clipper high-speed ferries from downtown Seattle to downtown Victoria. A two to three hour cruise through Puget Sound and into the Strait of Juan de Fuca on your way to Victoria's Inner Harbour. Washington State Ferries operates most of their routes on a first come basis. The exception being their International route Anacortes, WA to Sidney, BC on Vancouver Island where reservations, particularly during the summer months, are mandatory.
